Château Coutet 2012

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting. The 2012 Château Coutet was showing a bit of reduction on the nose when I tasted it; just a touch of chlorine behind the clear honey and waxy aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with a viscous opening. There is commendable weight in the mouth with dried honey and peach notes, although it just cuts away rather swiftly on the finish. I would give this a couple of years in bottle.
